Studer Fine Art is a small but beautiful space in the historic market town of Presteigne in the heart of the Welsh Borders. The Gallery hosts a rolling collection of artists and exhibitions throughout the year. The Gallery is open Tuesday -Saturday 10.30am-4pm or by appointment outside of these times throughout December

Richard Studer : An Engraver’s Alphabet

An Engravers Alphabet is a Richards latest print - a limited edition of 75. The work has been selected for The Society of Wood Engravers annual exhibition opening Bankside Gallery London on Feb 4th 2025 then on tour across the UK. It is also a featured work in the Royal West Of England Academy Bienniel exhibition ‘ Paper Works’ opening early 2025.

Endangered and Extinct is a 25 multi block Wood Engraving.

Studer fine art is home to both form and function. Our wonderful collection of Ceramics and Studio Pottery by Gill Tennant-Eyles, Simon Hubert, Joe Finch, Nick Membury and Tony Hall range from exquisite sculptural forms to objects of hearth-warming earthiness.

Limited edition prints

Richard Studer is a printmaker, opera designer/director and founder of Studer Fine Art. He has both exhibited at and curated exhibitions across the borders and beyond. His humorous and eclectic collection of Linocuts are held permanently at the gallery as well as being available for purchase online. After years working with textiles through his costume designs, 2021 saw the launch of a collection of cushions based on the Linocuts. His work has a strong illustrative quality. All his prints are produced on his studio press here in Presteigne.
